- Serve as a clearinghouse for essential information, referring new materials to appropriate committee chairpersons or the membership

- The UFF Senate is composed of representatives of all the chapters in UFF. The Senate ordinarily meets on a weekend twice a year, usually in Orlando, occasionally in Miami, Tampa or Tallahassee. The Senate is the legislative body of UFF.
- The Senators are also members of their respective Bargaining Council.
